Carrot's 大茄来海鲜餐厅 (ASIA CITY BRANCH) Dining Experience!

Recently, I went to Kota Kinabalu for a vacation. Stayed in Holiday Inn Express Kota Kinabalu City Centre. This hotel is walking distance from an awesome seafood restaurant called 大茄来海鲜餐厅 (Welcome 100% Seafood Restaurant). The seafood dishes are reasonably priced, fresh and full of flavour!

Me and my friend had 3 meals in that restaurant because the food was so delicious. Each meal for me and my friend comprised of a carbo, a soup and 2 seafood dishes. Damage per meal is around RM160 to RM180.

Below are some photos of the food that I've stuffed my face with. I shall use strawberries (instead of carrots) to indicate my ratings.

I'm not a fan of carbo. But the bee hoon was very "Q" and full of flavour. The most important ingredient that was used to enhance the flavour is anchovies!! Super Yummy!! Rating: 🍓🍓🍓🍓

The best cuisine in the restaurant. After a long day of trekking in the chilling slopes of Mount Kinabalu, this delicious White Clam Soup warmed the cockles of my heart! Rating: 🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓

The Kam Hiong Spicy Crab is smaller and contains less meat than the usual Sri Lankan Crabs that I usually feasted on. However, the Kam Hiong had awesome flavour. Rating: 🍓🍓🍓

The Garlic Steam Lobster's meat was super tender! Rating: 🍓🍓🍓🍓

Steam White Prawns. I'm not a big fan of prawns in shells. Reason: Presence of black intestinal tracts that require me to remove manually. The prawns' meat tasted sweet and tender! Rating: 🍓🍓🍓

Egg Fried Rice. I'm a big fan of Din Tai Feng's Egg Fried Rice. Hence this egg fried rice tasted good but fell short of DTF standard. Rating: 🍓🍓🍓 

I recall this was the Steamed Sea Bass. Fresh, tender and not too salty. Rating: 🍓🍓🍓🍓

I recall this was the Steamed Grouper. Similar to the Steamed Sea Bass. Delicious! Rating: 🍓🍓🍓🍓 

Chilli Scallops. This was, in my opinion, the 2nd best dish in the restaurant. The scallops were bursting with flavour! Can't get enough of it! Rating: 🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓 

Overall, 大茄来海鲜餐厅 seafood receives a prestigious 4 Carrots Rating from Carrots Tsubaki!
