My Highly Predictable Breakfast
My breakfast is very predictable.
Starts with a cup of black coffee followed by 2 Slices of Gardenia Whole Meal Bread + 2 Soft Boiled Large Eggs with a sprinkle of Chia Seeds, White Pepper and Black Soy Sauce. That is usually my breakfast from Monday to Saturday with a 90% probability.
PS: I buy medium roast coffee beans from Starbucks and get the kind barista to grind them up to french press size. I can squeeze more than 15 cups of coffee out of each bag of beans!
The rare occasions where I'll break my usual breakfast routine is when I run out of eggs. Under those circumstances, I'll head to a local hawker centre for a plate of Yam Cake + Egg + Deep Fried Fish Fillet. Not the healthiest breakfast but I love Yam Cake....and the fish fillet indulgence!
On Sundays, I usually opt for Yong's Teochew Soon Kueh. I personally think that Yong's makes the most delicious Soon Kueh in Singapore!
Below are my other rare breakfast selections (less than 1% probability)....that usually leaves me with a queasy feeling in my gut after consumption and shorten my lifespan by a few days.
1. Chicken McMuffin with Egg Meal (with Harsh Brown and Black Coffee): If I have no choice and need to consume McD for whatever reason, this will be the meal that I will select. Reason is because I avoid beef and pork.
2. Old Airport Road Lor Mee: So sinful yet so delicious!
3. Ya Kun Kaya Butter Toast + 2 Soft Boiled Eggs + Kopi: Super sinful indulgence that begins with a mouth orgasm but subsequently leaves me with an uncomfortable feeling in my gut as though I've just consumed a vat full of grease.
4. Fried Bee Hoon + Egg + Deep Fried Chicken Wing: If you are a typical Singaporean, fried beehoon will probably be one of your top 10 cravings in the morning.
Here is a guide of the various ways to cook your eggs. Useful information especially when you are trying to order from a egg station at a hotel breakfast buffet! I usually order the sunny side up. Love how pretty it looks!
